Well fitting gear is of high importance for your own safety but that also counts for your comfort when driving. Gear which is absolutely necessary is helmet, glasses, hand gloves, body protection (body, knees, elbows), pence, shirt, jacket and boots. We strongly advice you to buy your own helmet, gloves and boots. For participants that want to buy their own gear, Sahara Experience advices a motor shop where everything is available with discount. You can also rent all gear at Sahara Experience.

A good preparation offers more pleasure. A couple of things are mandatory to bring with and some are strongly advised.

Mandatory to bring along:

• camel bag
• cloth against dust
• sun protection (high factor)
• small backpack
• (motor) driving license
• credit card
• passport (which a minimum validation of 6 months)

Advised to bring along:

• your favorite painkiller
• lip balm
• cycling shorts
• diarrhoea medicine
• torch
• energy bars
• ear plugs
• medical tape for hands (to reduce blisters)
• tiger balm
• Extran powder
• balloons, pens or other toys for the children in the villages
