Flight

If you go on tour with Sahara Experience, you’re responsible for booking your own flight. The best airline you can use is Royal Air Maroc (www.royalairmaroc.com). You will fly with a stop over in Casablanca to final destination Ouarzazate.

For the tour in week 45 counts: Day of arrival: Saturday the 1st of November
Day of departure: Sunday the 9th of November

There are some more options for booking the flight:

  • • Fly to Casablanca with a transfer to Ouarzazate. Remark: flights from Brussels are sometimes better priced and has sometimes a shorter transfer time.
  • • Fly to Marrakech and get a taxi to Ouarzazate. That’s a ride of approximately 5 hours through magnificent Atlas highlands.

Sahara Experience arranges transport from and to the airport of Ouarzazate.

Medication/ vaccination

Regarding vaccinations, Hepatitis B and DTP are advised but both are not mandatory. If you’d like more information, you could contact the GG&GD.

Regarding any regular medication we advise you to bring along enough for 8 days. Not every day we’re in the close neighbourhood of a pharmacy.

Insurance

If you travel with Sahara Experience you should take care of your own insurances: travel- and healthcare insurance. Travel documents

Make sure you’ve got a passport that’s valid. Your passport has to be valid till 6 months after your arrival at home. Morocco does not require a visa.

Paying possibilities

The currency unit of Morocco is the Dirham (± 10 eurocent). In some villages where we will spend the night, you can do cash withdrawals. Credit cards are only accepted at the airlines and the bigger hotels, restaurants and shops.

Please ensure that you bring along your credit card. You will need it to rent the jeep and motor. Besides that it is advised to keep some cash with you for small shoppings and fuel (approximately 100 euro)

Luggage

It’s important to bring as less as possible with you. Besides that it’s highly recommended to bring your belongings in a small backpack or sports bag.
